And suicide is the second leading cause of death for 15-\nto 24-year-olds. It\u2019s critical that we help teens in every way we can, and this\nstarts with the teen Mental Health First Aid (tMHFA)\npilot program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re excited that the tMHFA Pilot Program will expand to 35 more high schools and<br>train students across the country in the tMHFA Action Plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This innovative new peer-to-peer program teaches high school students\na 5-step action plan to help their friends who may be facing a mental health problem or crisis, such as\nsuicide, and highlights the important step of involving a responsible and\ntrusted adult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mentalhealthfirstaid.org\/population-focused-modules\/teens\/\">Learn\nmore<\/a> about teen mental health, the tMHFA course and the expanded pilot\nprogram.
